ITCS "Light"-Server / Client

Clients use this innovative control centre solution for transmitting the current location of vehicles equipped with ticket printers at regular intervals to the Zelisko ITCS 'Light‘ server’. The ITCS ’light’ module visualises these messages and collects all operational data generated, compares these with the original planning data and reacts independently within certain limits to the given operational situation. The VDV 453/454 online interfaces available enable real-time data to be exchanged with other systems, for example, in order to ensure connections with other transportation companies.

Current information can then be transmitted within the vehicle (e.g. to internal TFT displays) as well as to the DFI systems at the vehicle stations or stops. The Zelisko ITCS supports transportation companies in improving the attractiveness of the public transport by customer care and efficiency. Since operational and technical irregularities are detected at an early stage, and the vehicle and personnel can be deployed optimally, ITCS supports the efficient utilisation of resources. A real-time timetable information system is just as possible as the statistical evaluation of all data and messages, so that even those measures assuring the quality may be adopted. Data regarding punctuality, reliability and assurance of a connection can be evaluated and information regarding deviations and disruptions can be used for new planning and schedules.

The availability of passenger information in real time ensures that the passengers, too, always have the correct and current information.

All data received via UMTS/GPRS or the company radio are stored in a database. There are comprehensive options available for the evaluation of this data.

The combination of ticket printer and onboard computer with the integration of these systems in an ITCS ’light’ solution and the systems now available as equipment offer a number of attractive solutions for transportation companies of all sizes.

Punctuality analysis

The ITCS system provides 4 reports for analyzing the punctuality.

  • Punctuality on the bus stops of a line
  • Punctuality of one line
  • Punctuality of a driver on one day
  • Punctuality of one line (details)

For example the report “Punctuality on the bus stops of a line” will show the delays in time intervals of 0-5, 6-10, 11-20 and more than 20 minutes. The parameters line number, starting date and end date could be chosen. The reports displays than the list with date, bus stop number and name, time interval of delay, number of busses stopped at the bus stop.
